The new series of Strictly Come Dancing is set to begin next weekend and already predictions are being made about who this year’s winner will be.
There are eleven celebrities that have signed up for the upcoming season: Frankie Bridge, Pixie Lott, Thom Evans, Jake Wood, Steve Backshall, Judy Murray, Mark Wright, Simon Webbe, Sunetra Sarker, Scott Mills and Alison Hammond.
Already Frankie Bridge has emerged as a favourite to win. The 25 year old singer/songwriter was meant to participate in last year’s show but had to pull out because she was pregnant.
Now she is back, with her child, and it is known that when she was a young child she took numerous dancing lessons.
Behind Bridge four of the other participants are tied as second favourites at most bookies. Pixie Lott, Thom Evans, Mark Wright and Simon Webbe all have odds of around 6/1. However, this could all change over the coming week; the show is meant to have 14 participants so another three names will enter the mix in the coming days.
The series kicks off at 7pm GMT on September 7th.
